Post-polio syndrome – the new challenge of an old disease.

For a good explanation of polio; what it is, what causes it, etc. see “What Is Polio?”

Our “Resource Links: Polio Places, People and Forums on the Internet” page will guide you to just about everything about polio that’s available on the Web – at least, that we’ve been able to keep up with so far.

Besides the “Where Can I Find a Support Group?” page (see column on the left), for an international online support group, check out The IPPSO (International Post Polio Support Organization) Forum.

Where can you find a post-polio doctor?

See the online Library links and titles.

The PPS Bibliography is an annotated, organized list of 1200 articles related to post-polio syndrome. A great resource.  Temporarily (?) not available on the Web, but you can inquire about price and order from:  PPS Bibliography, 2 Coral Way, Half Moon Bay, CA USA 94019-2300.

Also … Browse down the titles of archived issues of The P.E.N. & ink  newsletter.

There are other post-polio folks out there!

To locate a support group in your area, see our “Where Can I Find a Support Group?” page. If you can’t find something there, e-mail your query to G.I.N.I. International.

Would you like to join an Internet e-mail support or information group? Or maybe just correspond personally with a polio individual? Our LINKS page has everything you need!
