Chattaroy Community Church Profile
We are a non-denominational, bible-based, spirit-led, Protestant church. We are a small (approximately 70) but dedicated congregation, strategically placed 15 miles north of Spokane in northeast Washington State.
Community Context
This is a rapidly growing semi-rural community, providing solid opportunities for outreach to a large unchurched community, rich in diversity. Our community profile includes:
- Farm families
- Skilled and unskilled workers
- Professionals (most of whom commute to the greater Spokane area)
Our Strengths
Our strengths include close fellowship and a core of hard-working members dedicated towards maintaining our strong church family as we endeavor to expand to the unreached in our community and beyond. It is our desire to thrive, not just survive, and to be mission-minded, not maintenance-minded.
Desired Pastor Profile
We are looking for an experienced senior pastor who is a Bible school or seminary graduate with relevant ministry experience to give strong spiritual leadership to our congregation.
Requirements and Responsibilities: The candidate must be a mature, Christ-centered man with a heart for evangelism, discipleship, and missions, to:
- Provide spiritual direction through prayer, shepherding, teaching, and preaching.
- Develop leaders to exercise their spiritual gifts (Eph 4:11-16).
- Spearhead outreach efforts to proclaim Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20).
- Visionary Growth: Develop and grow the congregation spiritually and numerically.
- Pastoral Care: Provide care for the multi-generational needs of our congregation.
As a member of the elder board, the pastor must be in agreement with the statement of faith as well as the purpose of Chattaroy Community Church and be willing to submit himself to the constitution.
